Today you embark on a full-day excursion to the picturesque “Meadow of Gold,” Sonamarg. During the autumn season, Sonamarg offers beautiful golden landscapes, crisp mountain air, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Sonamarg is the last stop of Kashmir district. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 mt above sea level, the fast-flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and masher fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment). We will drive back to Srinagar and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

In the morning, drive to Gulmarg, the beautiful meadow of flowers. The route from Srinagar to Gulmarg is fascinating, with scenic mountain views, lush landscapes, and beautiful autumn colors covering the surrounding trees and valleys. You will be mesmerized by its beauty. Gulmarg is famous all over the world for Skiing and Snowboarding. During the British Raj, Gulmarg hosted the Britishers and Europeans and as such they created a European hill resort and named it Gulmarg. In Gulmarg, you would be able to find European surroundings and an 18-hole Golf Course. Enjoy the Gondola cable car ride to Apharwat and Kongdoori, where you can admire the panoramic views of the mountains and colorful autumn landscapes. After Breakfast, proceed towards Pahalgam, the “Valley of Shepherds,” which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from the Lidder River and Sheeshnag Lake. During the autumn months, the journey to Pahalgam becomes even more scenic, with golden foliage, cool mountain air, and beautiful views of the surrounding valleys adding to the charm of the landscape. En route, visit the Awantipora ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival in Pahalgam, enjoy the surrounding beauty or walk to a small village set amidst pine and fir forests, offering beautiful views of the mountains. Visit Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari Valley by union cab (at your own cost). After sightseeing around the mountain valley, spend your free time exploring the markets and roaming around. We will drive back to Srinagar and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After Breakfast, drive towards Doodhpathri, the “Valley of Milk,” located in Budgam district. It lies in a bowl-shaped valley surrounded by the Pir Panjal Range. During the autumn season, Doodhpathri becomes especially peaceful, with golden meadows, clear mountain views, and a refreshing cool breeze creating a beautiful natural setting.The valley is less crowded compared to other popular destinations in Kashmir, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature, peaceful surroundings, and scenic photography away from the usual tourist rush. Spend some quiet and relaxing time at Doodhpathri before returning to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
